Star 51 – A New Kids Fashion Range With A Difference

I went to a lovely launch today for a new luxury girl’s clothing range called Star 51.                                              Star 51 I fell completely in love with their beautiful dresses for 2-6 year olds, which are all handmade in the UK.

What makes Star 51 a little different is the ethos behind it. Co-founder Banayioda Kefalas is a firm believer in age appropriate clothing, and has take inspiration from the designs of the 1950s to create the collection. The quirky detailing and bold prints however, give the dresses a contemporary edge that today’s little girls will love. Amazingly, a percentage of every sale goes to Kids Company, a charity committed to helping the most needy and vulnerable children in the UK.

I loved the dresses and the whole idea behind the brand. They’re expensive, so not an everyday purchase, but perfect for a special occasion. The quality means they’ll be handed down and treasured for years. In today’s era of fast and disposable fashion, it’s good to see a brand with a little more substance.

See more on their website and also at House of Fraser. Prices start from £90.
