Why You Need A New Spring Coat

I officially have coat fatigue, which obviously isn’t a real medical condition, but certainly feels like one. There is something about putting the same coat on every day that can be a little depressing come mid winter.

I’ve been looking for something a bit more lightweight (that I can layer up for now), that won’t feel too warm and woolly come the spring. If it seems a bit of a funny time to be buying a coat, don’t kid yourself. You’ll be wearing one til at least April.

Handily, the SS15 catwalks were full of knee length coats perfect for early spring dressing, and high street versions of these are now flooding into the shops. Choose from long-line blazers, classic trench styles and bold colours and patterns, all with a loosely cut, throw over anything feel.

These are my favourites…

…and a couple of naughty ones below from which will be never be mine unless I ebay Pearl’s Barbie collection. The patterned Isabel Marant is £370 and the trench style number is by Acne and costs just £550…
