I was really excited to hear about a new launch from pushchair brand Cybex. They have taken inspiration from iconic design duo Ray and Charles Eames to create the Priam – which will be on sale from January 2015.
Eames are revered worldwide for their ground-breaking furniture design, combining both beautiful aesthetics and exceptional function.
The Priam is a homage to their craft and vision, a revolutionary stroller that is ‘elegant, contemporary and supremely practical’.
It can be used as a pram by adding the carrycot unit, as a forward or rear-facing pushchair, and also as a travel system with either the Aton Q or Cloud Q car seat.
The hybrid wheels make changing terrain a breeze, and the one-handed fold is a life saver when you’re juggling both baby and shopping bags. I love the Autumn Gold colourway which reflects the restrained palette of Eames’ designs.
Costing £510 for the frame, plus £250 for the carrycot and £340 for the seat, the Priam is not going to be a budget option, but with it’s superior design features and quality materials, you’re getting a top of the range model with a definite wow factor.
Along with Silver Cross’s recent collaboration with Aston Martin for their special edition Surf, pushchairs seem to be moving aeons away from the simple unfold and go of yesteryear..
